Luke Howell, Louis Lapointe and I are very happy to announce you a new member in the Events-Calendar team. Our preferred plugin gonna enjoy the great designer talent of  Coe Gwathney. Who is currently working on the future graphic of Events Calendar. I will say no more, for the surprises

Events-Calendar: a version 7.0 alpha is born.
Although you can not access it, because this version is not yet sufficiently exploitable, I wanted to tell you that things are progressing for our dear plugin.

Events Calendar: a new site entirely dedicated to the support.
Now your requests, for helps and explanations, will be supported on wp-eventscalendar.com. A forum is waiting for you and a Mantis Bug Tracker is installed.

My blog is still available for the topics concerning the evolution of the plugin. I will continue to keep you informed, to call to your common sense and listen to your suggestions, needs and comments. They were fundamental in developing this new version

As you all probably know it, the life give us pleasant, but also nasty surprises. And when you finally think of leaving the head from under water, that you think that it is finished, that all is back in the order, certain forces show you that your martyrdom is not finished, and that a little more bad drink is still necessary.

Thus you have the impression that a torturer has fun to press on your head to make you drop down in the molasses. And there you wonder: until when that goes it lasted?!

I just finished most of the work on the recurrence of events. What is special programming, whatever the language is that where you thought you quickly put a time of madness to carry out certain tasks.

This was the case with the calculation of the number of weeks in the month!

A week to reach a satisfactory result. As I arrived alone and without help, I told myself that this might help someone go through there.

Here I am returned from hollidays and I had you that it is difficult

Pass beautiful and big summer heats to the Parisian dinginess is testing for health, and for the morale also.  I have just passed two days in a close state of the disease.  This is for this reason that I was not very present on the blog these some days.  Those of you that left commentaries and to that I did not again reply will want well to be sorry me.

Vous pouvez vous abonner !

Après quelques péripéties - en fait essentiellement des étourderies - et grâce à Lise j’ai réussi à installer correctement le plugin Subscribe-to-comments.

Pour en être satisfait, j’ai effectué quelques modifications :

• Afin que le fichier de localisation reste dans le répertoire du plugin j’ai modifier le code. Il suffisait de rajouter à la fonction textdomain() un deuxième paramètre qui indique où se trouve le fichier .mo

Récapitulons, mais en plus court
(forcément, quand on récapitule, c’est plus court ! je sais)

Donc je disais que mes tâches et projets actuels dans le monde Wordpress sont :

1. Commencer à prendre réellement en charge tout ce qui tourne autour d’Events-Calendar, sans attendre le passage de témoin de la part de Luke Howell.
2. La localisation en français du plugin Wassup. Je compte d’ailleurs également me servir de ce travail pour publier un tutoriel dédié à la localisation des thèmes et des plugins.
3. Étudier les deux plugins d’inscription aux commentaires (Subscribe to Comments et Subscribe2). J’ai commencé la localisation de Subscribe to Comments dans sa dernière version, je compte bien la finir et l’envoyer à l’auteur, Mark Jaquith, même si, parait-il d’après Lise, il y  a peu de chances qu’il me réponde.

Résumé, c’est déjà moins impressionnant finalement !

Un blog, sans un peu de publication, ce n’est pas très glorieux

J’exerce un métier qui demande beaucoup de concentration. Et j’aime par dessus tout consacrer des week-ends entiers à mon fils. En dehors de certains plaisirs de la vie, le reste du temps est dédié à cette nouvelle passion retrouvée du développement, retrouvée au travers de la communauté Wordpress. A la rentré je vais reprendre mes activités associatives. Avant de partir en vacances à la mi août, j’essaye d’en faire le maximum pour ce blog et tout ce qu’il amène de travail, afin de trouver un rythme de croisière qui soit moins chronophage.
