Rebirth
As you all probably know it, the life give us pleasant, but also nasty surprises. And when you finally think of leaving the head from under water, that you think that it is finished, that all is back in the order, certain forces show you that your martyrdom is not finished, and that a little more bad drink is still necessary.
Thus you have the impression that a torturer has fun to press on your head to make you drop down in the molasses. And there you wonder: until when that goes it lasted?!
Then rather than to purge in the darkness you decide to analyze the situation to find a door of exit. Gradually, of the reasons which you had ignored, or neglected, start to take the value which they should always have had. Same manner that you eat an elephant, i.e. piece per piece, you solve problem after problem. And finally a little light appears and you completely leave the head from under water.
I hope in what relates to me that it is really finished!
Want all to excuse me for my absence since a few weeks.
My conscience and my natural frankness oblige me to acknowledge you that since my last article I do not have make large things for Events-Calendar. I know that you are numerous to await the next version and I promise to you to make all my possible not to disappoint you.
I benefit from it to thank here Louis Lapointe and Luke Howell for their comprehension, and with which a new and beautiful collaboration is reviving. With these two friends we prepare a project of website which will be entirely dedicated to the support of Events-Calendar. The next post will explain you why my blog will then be dedicated only to the developments of the plugin.
With all my affectionate friendship.

Glad to have you back!
Always on track to check your updates and great work.
Cya ’round!
Hello. I just left a message on Luke Howell’s site, but I’m going to try you too. So, I really like your calendar plugin, but i have a client who’s looking for some more advanced functionality:
- Different categories for events (this would also create WP post categories)
- Ability to filter events
- Assign category-specific CSS to events in the large calendar view, so they can be color-coded
- Ability to show different views of the calendar via shortcode (for example [[EventsCalendarLarge view=Basketball]] would show only events in the “Basketball” category
I noticed there is a new version coming along, so I don’t know if any of these are in the works already, but regardless, I’m ready to make a *large* PayPal payment if you can make these enhancements by June 1. Please let me know if you’re interested, and we can talk about the details. Thanks very much.
_Steve
Hello dear Juanjo,
I hope that you go well on your side.
I notice that you are often the first to leave a comment. It is significant for me.
Yes it is a good return and the train is given back on the rails. I am working on the form of Events-Calendar options. At the time when I had released one his development I was to have the brain in boiling! To take again where I had stopped it is a little as to resume the work of another person so much I had pushed the algorithms very far.
Hello Steve,
Indeed all these functions are planned for the next version. That assure me that I am on the good way. However I cannot guarantee to you that it will be completely finished for June 1. I estimate that my work is carried out to 75% on the basis of schedule of conditions that I fixed myself. You must suspect that in fact always last the percentages are longest. However I consider your request like an additional motivation.
OK, that is great! I will make a nice PayPal donation when this version comes out then! Thanks very much.
Hello Heirem,
I have been following your posts and progress. I too have a couple clients that are very anxious for the functionality of the next version of the calendar and a paypal donation will be made in thanks for all your hard work.
Hello Lori,
Obviously I am very touched by this constant monitoring on my work. Don’t worry my work restart well. Given the delay, the output of Events Calendar has become one of my highest priorities.
